Save Up! Junior Savings Challenge

How it will work

• A unique share code will be created to store your Save UP challenge funds

• Challengers should visit a preferred branch (Trident House, Bridgetown; Southern Plaza Oistins, Northern Business Centre Oistins) to deposit funds into their special Save Up Junior Savings Challenge Account.

• Funds will be held in the Save Up challenge Shared ID account for the duration of the competition and will be transferred to the regular junior member account at the end of the competition.

• Challenge funds will attract the same interest rate as the regular junior member account rate.

*Competition begins on July 22, 2022, and all Challengers must register and hit the overall savings target by March 31, 2023 to be entered into the Grand Draw!

Terms & Conditions

Timing - The challenge begins July 22, 2022, and ends March 31, 2023. By participating in the challenge, junior members understand that the BWUCCUL may contact them, or parent/legal guardian to notify of winning. Winners through their parent/ legal guardian must agree that The BWU Co-operative Credit Union may use their name and photo or likeness in future promotions

Eligibility – Participants must be 17 or younger at time of challenge to open a junior savers account. Savings account must be in good standing and funds being saved as part of the challenge will be placed in a special ShareID account for easy tracking purposes.

Entry– Participants may enter the Save Up Challenge by completing the challenge entry form. Challenge entry which must be approved by a parent/legal guardian. If at any time it is ascertained by the BWUCCUL that consent from a parent\ legal guardian was not given, participants will be ineligible from winning the stated prizes. The competition is open to current and new members and to get a chance to win, participants must hit the published deposit targets.

Any participant, parent or legal guardian may remove themselves or junior member from the challenge at any time by sending an email to marketing@bwuccu.com.

Prize -Each participant will be eligible to win one Credit Union branded promotional item for hitting the silver level target of the savings challenge at any time during the challenge period. While eligible participants for the Platinum prize draw will be entered into a draw to win one of three 8 Inch Amazon Kindles and $100 in Credit Union Cash.

Winner Selection –Participants will only be entered into the gold prize draw if they achieve the gold savings target of $300 by March 31, 2023. The challenge total must remain in the junior savers account for at least three months after the end of the competition. Three (3) winners will be selected by random draw from the eligible. Should no participants hit the set target, the gold prize will not be awarded.

The drawing will be performed by the BWUCCUL Marketing Department on or about April 15, 2023. The first three names drawn will win. Should a winner not be able to receive their prize for any reason an alternative winner will be drawn from the eligible pool.

Notification – Winners will be notified by email within one (1) business day of the completion of the drawing and by regular mail sent to the address associated with the winner’s saving account. Any prize will be direct deposited to the winner’s eligible savings account. No purchase necessary. Purchase does not increase your chance of winning.

All member data collected for this promotion will be stored for up to two years following the end of the promotion (March 31, 2024). Contact details may be used to share information on future member Credit Union promotions within this period. Data from this promotion will not be shared with any third parties.
